SPRING SEMESTER 2010 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 
 
Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values Conference

In early April, 5 LMU Greek students attended the oldest regional conference for fraternity and sorority students, the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV) Conference, West Region. This conference was held in conjunction with the 2nd annual National Cultural Greek Leadership Conference in Costa Mesa, CA. The students who attended the conference were:

-          Chris Anaya, Greek Council co-VP of Greek Week, member of Sigma Lambda Beta

-          Irene Gallegos, member of Sigma Lambda Gamma

-          Katie Mollica, Greek Council Co-VP of NPC Recruitment, member of Delta Gamma

-          Lauren Nunn, Greek Council Co-VP of Greek Week, member of Delta Gamma

-          Ethel Zarinana, member of Sigma Lambda Gamma


Also in attendance was Katelin Rae, member of Delta Gamma, who served as a conference intern, one of only eight students in the western region selected to serve.

 LMU's fraternity and sorority community brought home four awards in the following categories:

-          Marketing and Media Award: Recruitment Publications (for our Guide to Greek Life and Guide to NPHC/NALFO Groups)

-          Marketing and Media Award: Greek Life logo (for branding and intentional use of logo)

-          AFLV-West Award: Scholastic Achievement

-          AFLV-West Award: University Involvement

 
Sigma Gamma Rho
The weekend of April 16th, members of the Rho Eta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. attended the 58th Western Regional Conference for Sigma Gamma Rho in Sacramento, CA. 
 
These women brought home four awards in the following categories:
    -Most Outstanding Chapter Programs
    -Outstanding Community Service
    -Outstanding Undergraduate Activities- Graduating Senior
    -Undergraduate Chapter Advisor of the Year, Adrianne Chivers
